Steven Moffat Speaks on Sherlock/Doctor Who Crossover

Executive producer of Doctor Who and Sherlock Steven Moffat, this week expressed his thoughts on the possibility of producing a Sherlock and Doctor Who crossover.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moffat stated:

‘if people want to, we should give it to them’.

In the past, Moffat has made his dislike for the crossover quite clear, believing that it would not clash well. However, he believes to think differently now. Moffat continued,

“I got persuaded by Mark [Gatiss], Benedict [Cumberbatch], [executive producer Sue Vertue] and Martin [Freeman] saying, ‘Look, it will never be as good as they think it’s going to be’”.

What do you Doctor Who or Sherlock fans think of this? Would it be an awesome thing where the Doctor travels to the world of Sherlock? Or is it perhaps better left to fan fiction? Let me know in the comments!

Cast Spotted Filming | Sherlock Special!

The Sherlock cast was spotted filming at the Coston Hall in Bristol, England, for the one-episode special expected to air on Christmas, 2015. (FINALLY!)

Mark Gatiss commented:Sherlock-filming copy

“It’s not a Christmas special. It’s a special, but we honestly have no idea when it might be on. We’re making it in January but we don’t know when it’s going to be on. Christmas would be nice.

Additionally, BBC released a short trailer featuring glimpses of Sherlock as well as other shows.(

The premier of Sherlock Season 4 was generally expected to release in early 2016, however many are now speculating that it is quite possible that it could air in 2017. (Haha fun; another 2-year wait)

However, from what Benedict Cumberbatch has recently said, it appears I could be watching Sherlock for many years to come.

“If we can keep the quality up,” Cumberbatch said in a Vogue Magazine interview, “I can’t imagine that I will ever get tired of being Sherlock. I’d love to play him as an old man.”

The big #221back announcement was a confirmation that Sherlock will be back in 2015!! Sherlock will return for a Christmas special, and then the fourth season will air in 2016 (dates are not exact quite yet).

Stephen Moffat states for Season 4:

“Of course, it’s far too early to say what’s coming, but we’re reasonably confident that the very next thing to happen to Sherlock and John, is the very last thing you’d expect…”

That’s all very ominous and mysterious…..The main thing we are all wondering about is Moriarty’s return!

According to “Screen Rant”, Steven Moffat confirmed that Season 4 will be set 2 years after the release of season 3, just as we have all will have waited 2 years (ARGHHH).The one-off Christmas special will premiere first, which will consist of three 90-minute episodes.

Though the dates of Sherlock haven’t changed much, this is all major news! asdfghjklasdfghjkl fangirling so hard right now…

There has been a ridiculous rumour going round

that Season Four of Sherlock is arriving in 2016! Is this true? None of us know for sure…no one is safe. I am really very confused because I thought S04 was set to arrive on Christmas 2014? They even published it in the newspapers, probably for the 20 millions fans hanging on for our baby (just this once, I’m not talking about Sherlock, or even my baby Martin, wait Bilbo, I MEAN JOHN) and I’m actually talking about a certain villain. I think the question we’re all dying to answer the question of… Miss me?

But seriously, I can’t wait 2 yrs for S04. The fandom can’t wait 2 years…again. If they do this, this is so cruel! But then again, Sherlock is a cruel fandom. MARK GATISS, STEVEN MOFFAT (did I spell that right?) I WILL BLAME YOU. Ah well, I guess we will just have to see…

For now, take these ridiculous comebacks I created, for when you fight with some random hater of fandoms:

1. “I may be a peasant, but honey you should SEE ME IN A CROWN.”

Person: “You’re a b****.”

Me: “Oh, do your RESEARCH. I’m a high-functioning sociopath!”

English teacher/Therapist: “Tell me what’s going through your mind  right now.”

Me: “What would you say if I told you I keep Moriarty locked up in my Mind Palace?”

Them: “…”

Just three for you, created by Your’s Truly *bows deeply* #justkiddinghaha #mysherlockcomebacks

The Sherlock Fangirl!

Sherlock Season 3

The new season of Sherlock lasted as quick as it came! The season passed within a few weeks, leaving us on an extreme cliffhanger and begging for more. The three episodes (The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three, His Last Vow) were a whirlwind of emotion, all the way from Sherlock’s miraculous survival, Mary and John’s wedding, and then the incredible comeback of Jim Moriarty. A new slimy villainous mastermind, Charles Augustus Magnussen, was introduced in the final episode. Thankfully, he was killed and our favourite villain, Moriarty, is back! The season ends a few seconds after the credits with Moriarty mysteriously saying “miss me?” We replied with comments like “YES BBY I MISSED YOU!”…Sherlock-Season-3-Teaser-2

The third season of Sherlock attracted over 13 million fans to the television series, making Sherlock the #1 Crime Show (as stated my IMDb) and one of the top drama series, as well as Doctor Who and Supernatural. The wait for Season 3 was about two years long, but the producers are trying to get season 4 to us by Christmas. Still, a year long wait is quite a while! Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed Season 4 & 5. Filming for the new series is already planned, and probably will begin shortly, depending on the Cumberbatch and Freeman’s schedule. Producers say, “we want a Sherlock Christmas Day special.” Well       so do we!

Stay tuned for my Season 3 episodes reviews, will be coming to you within the next few weeks!
