I’ve decided to make this a “thing” on my blog, basically where I link 5 songs that remind me of certain books! Hope you guys like it x

I Was Here by Gayle Forman

Song: “I Was Here”

Artist: Beyonce

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RDUjA0fN4o

Notes: Not only the title, but the majority of the lyrics remind me of Gayle Forman’s new book. Lyrics such as “I wanna leave my footprints, When I leave this world, I’ll leave no regrets, Leave something to remember, so they won’t forget, I was here, I lived, I loved
I was here, I did, I’ve done everything that I wanted, And it was more than I thought it would be, I will leave my mark so everyone will know I was here”. Basically the entire song

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Song: “Dorian”

Artist: Agnes Obel

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXw5GLRdOOw

Notes: Needless to say from reading the title, the song reminds me of Dorian.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Song: “Warrior”

Artist: Beth Crowley

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa8iyHzHUSQ

Notes: This song was literally written for The Mortal Instruments! Every lyric is perfection.

The clockwork angel by Cassandra Clare

Song: “Take Me To Church”

Artist: Hozier

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3voRbKryjA

Notes: Reminds me of Tessa Gray, especially the lyrics “I was born sick”. Tessa is a warlock, and is considered worthless and inferior by many Shadowhunters. This entire song reminds me of all of The Clockwork Angel.

The Fault in our Stars by John Green

Song: “All I Want”

Artist: Kodaline

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6BwAWiHcSg

Notes: I’m sorry I’m crying can’t talk *sobs hysterically*
