The Last Hours – New Cassandra Clare series!

Cassandra Clare (author of the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices) finally reveals what “TLH” stands for! She has been keeping us hanging long enough hahah XD

“The beans are spilled! TLH, yes, stands for The Last Hours. The Last Hours is a new Shadowhunters series set in 1903. It deals with Will and Tessa’s children, James and Lucie Herondale, as well as Cordelia Carstairs, Charlotte and Henry’s children, Tatiana Blackthorn’s children, the Lightwood kids, and many more. 1903 is right around the time the Victorian era tips over into the Edwardian era – beautiful clothes, fabulous history and so much more that I’m excited to write about!” ~ states Cassandra Clare

WOW! Another amazing series coming up by Cassie! We are so lucky to have so much to look forward to! Personally, I’m most excited to read about Will and Tessa’s kids, because that means we get to read about ANOTHER Herondale J It’s a good life, it’s a good life… Was that a Carstairs Cassie mentioned? I thought Jem was the only Carstairs left…well, apparently not. – Yay plot twists

The Last Hours series will consist of “Chain of Thorns”, “Chain of Gold” and “Chain of Iron”!! These books will be coming to us after we have The Dark Artifices!

I am so excited for this series, because it will obviously be a lot like The Infernal Devices, but in a stage of turning into a new era. Sounds truly epic! So hyped and I can’t wait to hear more about The Last Hours!

“Legend” Review!

This is my written review of “Legend”, because I am sure that some of you rather reading written reviews than watching videos. I will shortly be uploading a YouTube video of this review, using the same points in this review, so you can view either or. Don’t worry; there are no spoilers in this review!

I just finished reading the New York Times bestseller “Legend” by Marie Lu. May I just say; this is definitely one of the best dystopian novels I have read so far! If you’re into the Divergent series by Veronica Roth and The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, than you will love this! Of course, it’s a completely different story, but it is just as enjoyable!

First of all, I just have to give a salute to Marie Lu for being the author of such an incredible novel. The characters in this were very realistic, so much so that I felt that I could almost touch them. It was very interesting for me to read the story from two different perspectives, that of June and Day. I’m embarrassed to say that throughout the entire book I was trying to choose whom I liked better out of the two, but in the end I just couldn’t. They are both characters that I have absolutely fallen in love with, and I can’t wait to read more about them in the rest of the series!

The plot line in this novel was super awesome. It flashes back between different realities, that of the streets and then that of June’s world of careful statuses. Some of my favourite kinds of books are books about breaking free, or about breaking out of captivity. I love experiencing that kind of freedom that the characters feel. It’s very invigorating and refreshing, especially when you look around your room and realize that your life isn’t nearly as interesting. “Legend” is one of those types of books, which capture a sense of freedom, and it was very enjoyable. The story line was very well written and definitely left me wanting more. It’s also a very surprising novel, I mean, throughout the entire book I was just sitting there going “well this is awesome” and now and then, something would catch me completely off guard, and I would find myself staring at the page asking, “wait, what’s happening now”. It’s nice when a book has those kind of unexpected surprises.

“Doesn’t merely survive the hype, it deserves it.” ~New York Times

If you would like to hear a longer review of Legend, please check out my upcoming YouTube review, which will be uploaded shortly, probably either tonight or tomorrow. I will be going more in-depth with the characters and story line, and reviewing and analyzing it more. I hope you enjoyed this quick little review! If you yourself would like to read the book, go check it out! And also, this is a trilogy, and the next two books are named “Prodigy” and “Champion”, which just released in November. I am very excited to read these next two books, and I hope that you are too!

John Green #TFIOS Hangout / 20th Century FOX

John Green (author of The Fault in our Stars and blogger) hosted a Youtube TFIOS hangout by 20th Century Fox about a week ago, where he answered questions that fans worldwide asked on all sorts of social media. John Green, as usual, answered them in his usual odd, hilarious and awesome way, which of course I absolutely adored. John Green is such an awesome person, and if you  haven’t watched his Youtube videos, you really should! It was really amazing for him to answer all of these questions on the spot, which is really admirable. He talks about the upcoming movie adaptation of TFIOS in this video, as well as answering everyone’s questions! Video below!

If you haven’t read any of John Green’s books, go check them out! “The Fault in our Stars”, “Looking for Alaska”, “Paper Towns”, “Will Grayson” and “An Abundance of Katherines” are some of his awesome books!

Cassandra Clare has given us  a random hint: TLH. I’m pretty sure this is either the name of a new series she is working on, or a new book. We get to find out what it means on February 25th!! Ahh! So excited! Cassie is a busy woman! She has now finished writing the Mortal Instruments books and the Infernal Devices trilogy, is working on the upcoming series called “The Dark Artifices”, the final Bane Chronicles instalment as well as the Magisterium series! Wow… and ANOTHER series!! I wonder if it will be a Shadowhunter Chronicle, or something new and different like the upcoming Magisterium series, which Cassie is working on with Holly Black, author of the Spiderwick Chronicles. The first book in the Magisterium series, Lady Midnight, releases in 2015. Stay tuned for a more detailed post of information for these upcoming series!

Let me know what you think TLH stands for in the comments below! Personally, I think it stands for “The lost…something.. hah
